When I started in the auto transport industry 15 years ago, it was common for me as an owner operator to take home 23,000 dollars a month profit. Now, most companies are lucky to gross 23,000 dollars a month. We all know that bad transporters and brokers (middle man) and rising cost are at the center of this decline.
People ask me all the time, why do the brokers have all the customers? It’s simple, they own the internet. If you do a search on Google for auto transporters, who comes up? That is right. Brokers. Also, they are in all the top positions. This is something that we at Transport Talk are working to change. By working together we can and will change our industry for the better.
The big brokers and big trucking companies have Huge adverting budgets which is why they own the freight. By putting our money together we can out spend them and out service them, but it takes us working together, and each transporter must do their part.
